Since I have owned this car for more than a year, I think I know a lot more about it that I did when I bought it.
So here goes my opinion about this car.
Looks 6/10:
I wasn't a big fan of its shape even when I bought it, but after the launch of Nano, I don't like the fact that it resembles the Nano :) Its looks are very close to Daewoo Matiz and Innova.
Mileage 8/10:
I have gotten 17 kmpl with 4 adults and AC on for 90 % of the time on the highway. It has also returned a good 20 kmpl without AC on the highway. It gives about 15 kmpl without AC in city and 12-13 kmpl with AC in city driving conditions. I am satisfied with the mileage figures.
Drivability 5/10:
The pickup of this car is not what I expected. I have driven my uncles old WAgon R and it can beat my Estilo in pickup hands down. When the AC is on and I have 3 pessengers with me, it feels like the car is CRAWLING. I believe the service station guys can improve the pickup but it will be at the cost of mileage. I have driven this car upto 110 kmph and it felt stable, no vibrations. I am not sure how secure it is though because it doesn't give you a solid car feel like the one you get driving a Swift.
Build Quality 5/10:
The paint quality, plastics used in interiors are not up to the mark. But I didn't expect it to be super since this car costs below 4 Lac. Exterior can easily get scratches. Interior has a fresh look but the plastics used are cheap.
Interior Space 6/10:
This car shares the platform with its cousin, the Wagon R. The space is enough for 4 adults and may be a child. But if you have 5 mid sized adults, you would be cramped for space.
The gear lever touches the front passenger's knees while going to 1st gear.
I would recommend this car if your main concern is mileage. Other aspects are at best comparable with other cars in the segment.
