I have a Gypsy King 2008 model...4 x 4, done just under 5000 kms so far..It's a great vehicle for those who do not expect the comfort of a car.. which is a mistake. This vehicle is meant for rough terrains and rough rides.
Engine is surprisingly silent and quite responsive. With alloy wheels and Yokohama balloon radials, it looks very sporty. A power assisted steering and synchromesh gear box could have been great.. it would have made a lot of difference in driving ease.Service at the dealer is quite satisfactory.
The only drawback I have felt is parts are not readily available. Most of the time, they have to order them and get it from the factory.. it takes a week or more.. this is really a set back.Vehicle needs regular check up for loose nuts & bolts. Rattling noises are quite frequent even on a new vehicle.Overall, it's a nice vehicle to own. Fuel efficiency and drive comfort is fine for a weekender... not ideal for daily commute.. and not meant for.. so, why complain? use it for what it meant to be!! you will be satisfied...
