We have seen all motors vehicles being upgraded to demand of modern generation or else discontinued . Maruti Gypsy remain the same with few engine tweaks. Suzuki is ready to roll out any hatchback anytime, but they still have same Maruti Gypsy. No upgrade in suspension, interior, features. Doesn't come with even power steering, power brake, etc.
After driving Gypsy all model carburetor to euro I to euro III in bad road I can say with difference in acceleration, everything remain the same. Yes, more practical off roading vehicle in India but discomfort is one big issue, and featureless . May be Suzuki still don't discontinue this car yet with no upgrade is because military still use it.
But my dear Suzuki our army and Jawan do deserve the best, they must be one using the best car, they are not being recruited saying you are not allow to be in good car but you must die for your country. Some countries military get hummer which is fancy car in India. I just wish our military are provided with better car in bar with other military in the world.
I wish they don't take Gypsy without upgrade. And dear Suzuki you are manufacturing good car in India, why not Gypsy!
