moved heavens and earth to bring a modern vehicle on Indian roads, he was a far sighted visionary he purchased one model from SUZUKI MOTORS with full rights with one condition that, Maruti company use MARUTI-SUZUKI name for new cars for 10 years in Indian market. This is how a multinational company builds its brand name in a new territory, it is a study for market makers

Is this information relevant to this review, but remember even today America is remembered with the name of C.COLUMBUS. So all modern cars in India will be remembered with the name of SANJAY GANDHI'S name.
Maruti Udyog employed serious Indian Engineers and started designing and building their own design and their own independently named car, one such early effort took the shape of a neat
looking car, called MARUTI-ESTEEM, they called this model ESTEEM with a purpose, it was to lend ESTEEM and prestige to the designers present in INDIA, Maruti wanted to show the world they can do a better job of car making than others. I believe sincerely they did it with MARUTI-ESTEEM
don't forget the cost of this car, it was very attractive to export markets also, Maruti company exported many cars in ESTEEM class to other countries among them was South Africa, so you can
say this is a bold new step and a successful step those days by MARUTI UDYOG. Now we must know this car model is 11 to 9 years old, so don't compare it with new model cars. Keeping perspective correct will make us understand the model called MARUTI-ESTEEM.
I must say some of the reputed car makers started opening their own car factories in India after looking at the designing capacities of Maruti Engineers, in a way world came to know Indian Engineers know their business very well thru MARUTI-ESTEEM, before this India was a closed country don't forget that.
We will see one day Japanese Car makers will sell cars made in India to Japan consumers, we will see American car companies will sell cars made in India to American market, anyway enough of solid facts, now we come to other aspects of the car under review .

Aluminum, its BHP is 85 and this car comes with seat belts for all 4 seats front and back, the
doors have standard steel tubing's against collision, I have never heard stories of big damage
in Maruti Esteem to passengers. This car has even distribution of braking force, you can cruise without fear at a speed of 100 km and more per hour. Don't worry this car will stop and be stable
when brakes are applied suddenly. The accelerator speed is 0 to 100 kms in 12 sec that is fast and proper I believe. This car engine has Electronic Control Module in its engine, what it means
is the engine will respond more quickly to gear changes with this device installed.
The Dickie, we call in Hyderabad is the boot compartment, its size is 376 liters, we carry
on picnics 2 gas cylinders and some standard picnic things and still we have some squeezing space for other pots and pans. My arrival in Hyderabad usually has 2 big travel bags, they fit easily
in the boot compartment. My ride to Vikarabad with my family kids and their mother was comfortable and easy, I did it 3 or 4 times, You don't suffer the BRAIN VIBERATIONS like you do
in other cars. Esteem has proper shock absorbers and comfortable homey look from inside, you don't feel like you are out of your home sitting in esteem. I like the pale green color of its model, other colours like red a good and attractive, but I personally like pale green.
I must say repair cost and other expenses associated with cars are okay with Esteem, Maruti has
many service stations in our city Hyderabad, so it is not a problem to get good repairs and Maruti
parts in general are affordable. Our car consumes petrol in city conditions at the rate of 15 kilometer to a liter, so you can make your own guess for yourself, it is ok with us. On highways you get more mileage. Let me add as a after thought that Esteem is extremely maneuverable in congested city of Hyderabad, we have some lanes very much loaded with traffic and we always come out comfortable from jams any where with Esteem.
I must say this is a old model compared to other new cars available in India now, but when this car came and the price of this car makes it very suitable for Indian masses always, even if Maruti company keeps making Esteem for 10 more years, they will have buyers for it regularly.
