Alto has more powerful engine than previous models, better pick up, power to weight ratio structural strength is not very solid so not a highway car, Maruti has tuned gearbox quite well, good throttle response, three spoke steering is nice to hold, it has a good top speed due to its low kerb weight, NVH levels are good in mid range, engine runs smooth in mid range revs but little noisy at top end, good acceleration in first three gears.
