Few actresses have Manisha Koirala’s milky-white complexion.Not many have her aphrodite-like figure.Despite being average-looking she has amazing screen presence.Her impeccable pedigree shows in every step she takes.She is an intelligent actress apart from being a decent performer.That is she is good at singing and dancing over and above being in firm control of the emoting process.She is known to be friendly with most of her co-stars.In fact she is popular for being the bindaas girl she is.She was launched with great fanfare.She chose her films carefully too.Mani Ratnam gave her a great part in his epic ’Dil Se’.Then why,o why is Manisha languishing in B and C grade films while her contemporaries have been declared all time greats already or are doing international projects.I attribute Manya’s misfortune to her bad luck.She was too good for Bollywood.Her looks may have been just okay but her talent made her suitable for much greater things.She deserved at least three national awards for her three movies.What makes Manisha unique is that she can look heavily sensuous,dance with abandon and emote like a dream.All in the same film.Inspite of her looks I cannot think of any,that’s any actress who can match Manisha Koirala.
