Manisha koriala !  She niether had a chopra/khan she was a nepali but when she struck into bollywood people immideately recognized her she debuted in the movie Saudagar (1991) which was directed by SUBHASH GHAI which was a super success !

People recognised her and she got many substantial role  in many great movies ! Her role in 1942 LOVE STORY (1993) Directed by Vidhu Vinod Chopra was critcally acclaimed ! The movie had a pariotic theme and manisha proved everyone that she can emote , express and act superbly !
Then came Akele hum akele tum (1995) Directed by Mansoor khan it also starred aamir khan the movie was about a couple who get seperated the movie was critically acclaimed but failed to set the box office on fire!

Then came Khamoshi - The musical (1996) A Masterpiece in true sense this movie was directed by Sanjay leela bhansali. The movie had manisha’s one of the finest performances or should i say her best performance till date !! She played a daughter of a deaf and dumb parents in this movie !!Again the movie was loved by all the critics but it was a box office failure !

Then came Gupt (1997) which was a murder mystery and a big sucess but Kajol took the limelight but manisha looked really pretty in the movie !Manisha also did the typical bollywood heroine roles like in -Mann (1999) !

But 2 movies worth mentioning are - Bombay (1995) and Dil se (1998) which were both Mani ratnam movies !

Then came Manisha downfall , Infact after Lajja ( 2001 ) She did B-Grade skin flicks like -  Ek choti si love story (2002)  , Market (2003) , Chaahat Ek Nasha... (2005) , Tum: A Dangerous Obsession (2004) !

These movies ruined manisha’s career she then became really fat and lost all her appeal ! Now she is tryin to get back in shape !



Anyways she was a actress who had all the capabilities to be in the league of - Madhuri, sridevi, nargis, madhubaala etc !
