I generally dont write reviews. I am writing this one today with a hope that it might save some lives.
We went in emergency into Manipal hospital as it was late evening and this was the only option available for ultrasound nearby to get Early pregnancy scan done. The doctors in the emergency told only LICENSED radiologists could do this scan and guided us to the radiology department in ground floor. The young lady who did the scan could not find anything in the uterus and she consulted yet another young radiologist on duty. When both of them could not find fetus in the uterus coz of early stage of pregnancy, instead of consulting a senior doctor, they gave report as the pregnancy was Ectopic.
Our miseries started after these ladies published the result. The doctor in the emergency and the OBG department declared this is an emergency and life threatening situation and needs to be handled immediately. They advised us the only option we had in this case was to terminate the pregnancy. With no other option left we had to get Methotrexate injection to terminate the pregnancy. Out of curiosity and doubt we got the scan done again outside from an experienced doctor who confirmed this was NOT an ectopic pregnancy, but everything was normal.
But it was very late by then and we had lost our bundle of dreams. With much pain I request all pregnant women please please DO NOT go to Manipal and I wish and pray no one gets to go through this situation again. I honestly would want the license to be revoked for such careless doctors. Please dont play with lives. You just killed a baby and many many hopes and dreams of the family associated with it because of your ignorance.
