We had a super bad experience recently at Manipal Hospital, Foetal Medicine Dept. We booked an appointment 20 days before for anomaly scan for 9am with a sonologist, Dr KRISHNA C. And here I am still sitting in the waiting area and the time is 12 noon and the radiologist, Dr Krishna C, has just stepped in. After three long hours of waiting and constant checking about his arrival status, he very smilingly steps in and apologises saying he was not well. This is extremely unprofessional and not expected in The Manipal Brand. Plus, he spends only 12 minutes to do this mid pregnancy scan.
And to top all that, the hospital doesn't have any back up staff to assist 15 pregnant ladies who are waiting for so long. The higher authority should take immediate action against this indiscipline. What is the point of booking appointment? Such scans have to be done in a certain time period only. We cannot even get appointment anywhere else in such short notice and where do pregnant women rush? It is like giving them unnecessary stress in such crucial stage.
