I had given my vehicle, Baleno LXI, to Mandovi (Yeshwanthpur workshop) for repair following an accident on Jul 23.(I had had a crash on 21st which was a Sat, but there was no one to even attend
to my repeated calls to their much-publicised service desk number as it was a Sunday:-)
I thought I would share my experience which was anything but satisfactory.
First,I am asked to sign a form that I am satisfied with the work even before my vehicle is taken!
After repeated follow-ups I am given only a handbill for the amount that I have to cough up, with the promise that I will get a machine print-out couriered to me immediately, which never happened-I am not going to be able to re-claim the expense with a hand-bill.
After the car was returned, I found a wobble in the wheels-the mechanic tells me that he thinks they must have forgotten to align the wheels right!
Finally, 10 days later,I get a call from the manager of the workshop, asking me sweetly, if everything is ok, and theres a small problem-they have switched batteries, if you please!
My job card no is JC07000824 for anyone who has cared to read from the powers that can move things at Mandovi-till then we must stoically grin and bear it all.
