We own a Maruti Alto. The car is now 6.5 years old.
I have been giving my vehicle for servicing at Mandovi Motors. All was well till an year ago. Since slightly more than a year, I am finding that Mandovi is missing on its professionalism. Most of the problems are either not attended to nor are resolved properly. But, Mandovi ensures that they charge me with a heavy amount.
For example, I gave my vehicle for servicing last week. Four problems were reported (hot air was not blowing from the AC chamber, little rattling sound in the car, autocop issues). None of these are critical problems, just that I was not happy to have these problems around. Mandovi charged me close to 5K, including the service amount. I felt the amount is OK, as long as the problems are resolved.
While the car ran fine for few KMs, all the problems showed up the next day. I called them up and reported recurrence of the problem. After repeated calls, my car is taken back by Mandovi for repair. This time they call me up to tell that back door lock is not working. Where as, the Mandovi guy had opened backdoor right before picking up the car. OK.. They promised to get the problem fixed. But I see that the extra-sound related problem continues to exist.
Of course, I also got multiple calls on Saturday and today - from different persons - asking for directions to come and pick up the car. I was surprised that four calls are made - by four different people - to pick up a vehicle. I am told today that there was some confusion. The worst was the behaviour of the Mandovi folks - complete lack of ownership about the problem. God save its customer. With Mandovi, all seems to be fine when your car is new and doing well. Once the problems are reported - these guys really bother to care anything. Once your car is slightly old, they have only one question to ask you - When do you plan to buy the next car, sir? We have some new cars.
Next time, be careful while dealing with Mandovi!
