Story:

Hearing something like ''the tiger is a true gentleman'' from a man who successfully eliminated much of the tiger population in our Indian Hills seems ironic... but on reading the book what hits you more that the adventures, more than the complete knowledge that Jim Corbett has of the Indian Jungle, and more than the amount of culture of India that lies hidden in the hills is the profound respect that this 'Hunter' has for his chosen 'Prey'.

The book takes you beyond the hills, beyond hunting and beyond adventure. It shows you the true culture of the people in these hills and the fascinating understanding that this so called foreigner has of it!!

We are given to see a glimpse of a true ''Shikari'', who learnt of the wild not by reading voluminous books, but by choosing to be one with it.. The genuine reader will surely re read the book,, the more adventurous may decide to take off on a trek to Nainital to view at least a shadow of the original lair of the Gentleman in the jim Corbett national park.

A must read for all....
