I used to frequent MAS half a decade ago, and my first time back on MAS was last week. Took a flight to Jakarta. Was afraid of not being able to reach the airport in time due to end of Ramadhan
holidays. Got my other half to check in online. Proved to save me a lot of time, as eventually I did reach a little late due to some car trouble but I reached in good time. On the flight I remembered the things I missed. The service and room space was great compared to what I had become used to. Being an Australian I must admit I am slightly ‘plus sized’, but I felt great. After a short read of my book I was served with an unusual meal in a box. A little skeptical at first, I found the contents quite appealing. It was unique. I had the chicken spaghetti and it was delish. I have always found airlines food amount to be little (being a big eater), so this was a recurring problem. The journey was uneventful and felt too short. Until at the airport, my luggage came out 10 minutes after the last piece was out. I had no idea what to do in that 10 minutes. It had never happened to me and I freaked a little. I know my wife bought MAS’ travel insurance but thankfully I didn’t have to use it. Phew! Had an equally delightful flight back, without luggage stress.
