We have been Taking Treatment with malar Hospital for over 6 yrs now. Well thou I am not that regular, but my Father Was. He used to visit Ortho Doctor and Famous Jimmy Prabhakaran very often.
I too visited malar many time on Various types of Issues. The two main issues wer - Once for my Nose Deformity-sinuses Problem and other for normal full body checkup for my Unknown type of Gastic Headache.
- The First Issue was Sorted well but the treatment was very Expensive including the dangerous MRI and others. They Suggested some medicines and nose Spray which I took regularly but even after using them, I could get a relief. Then after 6 months, I went again to get updated and they said they have got to operate it. But also said, Its very Risky operation and might end up into a disaster. I too recently read of case, wit Failed Sinuses Operation and the boy died!
So I opted out for the operation But later after years, the sinus problem disappeared all by itself and today I am all ok and I can eat Ice cream, curd and sleep in AC without any problems!
Here I wasted for MRI and other Scans and got nothing. But finally I saved money from opting out from operation!
- The second most recent issue was an unknown Gastric headache which I actually found Temporary relief from a local doctor. But to get a permanent relief, I visited malar again and Visited Dr.Jimmy.
They gave me a list of scans - MRI, blood test(2 tyres), Lipid test and some other tests. And after all these they couldn't find the problem and the doctor prescribed me some medicines which I took for 2 months. BUT found no Relief again!.
I spend about 18000 Rupees at a big reputed Hospital with a MD but no Remedy.!
But I spend only about less than Rs.500 at a Local Doctor at a clinic and now I get temp Relief.
Well, other than the hospital Location and building Infrastructure, the treatment are way too Costly. Only highly paid people can afford this hospital.
Infact when The hospital was just Malar, the prices wer normal. But when its been collaborated with Fortis, the prices have been raised like anything. Almost double I would say.
PROS -
1) lots of Facility for various Treatment.
2) Good Infrastructure and parking lots.
3) Cost is much better than Apollo hospitals.
CONS -
1) Too Expensive treatment for a normal problem.
2) Most Rude are Staff and are not user Friendly.
Overall, not a recommended Hospital for all. If u have got enough Money, then only visit this hospital. Its a money minded Hospital.
