After so many reviews on Makdee, already on MS, on I do not want to give details on story, performers, technicians etc. etc. But I cannot stop myself writing on it either.

When I saw the film, mainly because of insistence of my daughter, I began with boring look on my face. I was expecting usual children movie. But at thhe end of the film I had to admit my pleasant surprise.

The points that impressed me were:

The length of the movie was just right.

In the days of Heenas, Kkkkusums, K³Gs etc., a movie that never gave a feel of stretching was really a pleasant surprise. Not only the length was right for children, but it perfectly suited the script.

Science was the winner.

One cannot deny that children are fascinated by Ghosts, Demons, Chudails etc. But basing the stories on them has a hazard. Children start believing in them. But here was a movie (story) that used Chudail to attract children and fix them to the edge of their seats. But at the end, revealed to them how these stories are fiction! GREAT!

Logical development of story

The script was really strong. Every scene in the climax could be logically explained on the basis of pase scenes (which appeared so trivial then). Behaviour of Policemen, Disappearance of Alladin are points to be noted.

Strong Characterisation

All the characters had contribution to make to the development of main story. No unnecessary side stories or characters were used. Change in behaviour of Chunni, How she is forced to reveal facts, Actions of Masterji.... everything points to strong characterisation.

It is especially noteworthy as, these are always sore points in run-of-the-mill Bollywood flicks of FAMOUS directors.

To conclude....

Heartiest congratulations to Vishalji for an excellent film. (Note: I have not used the word ''Children'' in congratulatory message.) I just hope our world renowned Bollywood takes some lessons from this film.
