I had purchased Whirpool Washing Machine Model Sensation DLX 6.5 during May 2007.
Since I had received very bad service support during warranty period, I have not opted for extended warranty and opted for service on Call basis.
During January 2010 I had requested company's service and mechanic came after persistent follow-up. During the service he has opened the drum and something went wrong during fixing the drum back to machine.
Very next day while washing the front door broken and came out from the machine. We had called service centre. Again mechanic came after many calls. He has replaced the door with new one and charged Rs.2500/-.
Once again next day washing, it is broken again without completing a single wash.
Again usual routine has happened and mechanic came with another door after 2 weeks. Again charged for the door. I had requested to check the alignment of door and locking system before fixing the door but he has not ready do it. Again they charged for the door price.
Very next day it is ripped apart while washing. 3rd time now.
After much argument with mechanic and Genius Service Point, service agent for Bangalore, they had agreed to replace the door once again free of cost.
Even during this 3rd time door replacement mechanic is not ready to check the basic issue which caused original door to damaged. Once again fixed the door. As expected while washing this door also broken apart.
Since washing machine can not be used without door, once again I had lodged a complaint. My complaint Reference is BG0810005883 dated 11/08/10.
Even after last four months daily calls to Customer Centre, Genius Service Point and many emails to helpdesk as indicated in website, my washing machine is not repaired. Every time Service Centre is citing part is not available.
I could not use this washing machine for last one year which caused improper fixing of door by unexperienced service mechanic deputed by Genius Service Point.
I have to shell out Rs 5000/- for the mistake from company service engineer.
Not repaired or deputed a experienced mechanic for last 4 months to look into the problem which caused 3 doors damaged in first wash only.
If whirlpool india could not support or repair their product, please advice what I should do with this machine which is working fine without door issue.
Appreciate your help to resolve this long pending issue and request all readers to be very cautious while selecting Whirpool Washing Machine as I had very bad experience with service support since purchase of this machine.
