I am a proud owner of Whirlpool refrigerators for close to two decades now. On the same belief, bought a Whirlpool front loading 7 KG washing machine. The machine worked properly for 4 years, after which it had a break down. Now tragedy begins.
a. The service engineer who came was not showing any genuinity and involvement in the servicing process.
b. He opened the machine and told that the drum has cracked. While I could not find any crack and asked him to show me the cracked portion, he avoided answering that question.
c. Also, he did not screw up the machine back as per original state and left.
d. Did not get a signature confirming service completion.
e. Did not give a bill for service money paid.
f. Whirlpool service call center sent a satisfaction code to be shared with the technician, only if we are satisfied with the quality of service. The service person who visited did not bother to ask for this code also.
g. When we discovered that he has left the machine half open and called him back to set it right, he did not report in time.
h. Even the second time when he came, he once again tried leaving without fixing the machine back with all screws. We identified the same, caught hold of him before he left our apartment, and got all screws fixed.
I do not think a service experience can get any worse. Very unfortunate to have had a great experience with refrigerators from Whirlpool and such a pathetic experience on washing machines front.
Now I have settled for a Samsung washing machine, replacing Whirlpool
