Samsung Washing Machine - Idiotic Product Support

We have got a Samsung Washing Machine in the year 2006.


All did well till 2011 and we were no mood in changing or upgrading to a new one.


The machine which we used for 5 years had a trouble with keypad.


We called the service people and they were able to find out that it is a 2005 model and their company do not have this product in production.


So, when asked about changing this 300 to 500 INR keypad. We have been given either a no response or a slow response.


Everytime, they wanted to wait and they wanted to get confirmation from their senior team and they wanted us to wait and they gave reasons stating this particular part could come form Delhi(Noida), Mumbai or Kolkata and they have asked us to wait for 2 or 3 months and it never reached us.


After 4 months of wait time, and they gave us a idiotic response stating that, this product doesn't have any support parts from them and we can go ahead and return the product to them.


Do you wonder what is throw away cost for this product. They can take this product back for Rs. 1, 000/-.


I seriously wonder when everything is good with functional part of the machine and we are in no mood to upgrade or get a new one. Why should we go with the one. A mere keypad of 300 to 500 INR range is forcing us to sell the product which we got for Rs.14, 000/-


More than anything, it was the wait time and the responsiveness of the entire support team was surprising me.


I certainly believe that Samsung as a brand in India, they are not really willing to accept responsibility for their fault and was not responsive compared to their international peers.


When going through the other brands, I found that the companies like LG, Whirlpool and others provide replacement parts even for 10 or 15 years old.


Now, I have decided to get a new one A fully automated Washing machine with 100% Dryer and although it has a good reviews in Mouthshut and little better review than other ones.


I had a thought 100 times and decided not to go with Samsung machines any more.


Samsung still has to make their customer care team much better and making a customer wait without providing a detailed information is all going to create HATE for their products and service.


I really wish them Good luck, but sorry I am not going to continue buying any further for Samsung Washing Machine or for Home appliances.
