Pros:
Fuel efficiency and zero maintenance cost.
Cons:
Body Roll and Road Grip at High Speed
Bookmark and Share
I own a 2004 August SLX version, done around 27K kms, havent faced any major problems, only routine maintenance.  I have driven in bad terrains as well as in good roads, the max speed that I could
reach on L&T bypass in Coiambatore was around 150Kmph. Overall a good vehichle, gives the feel of a car. Gives 10kms in Bglore City and 13.5kms on highways(if speed is maintained below 100kmph). Need to drive with seatbelts on otherwise the driver tends to slip from the seat due to body roll, you feel it only at high speeds. Cannot be washed at home, needs power wash atleast once in two months. No greasing required, back suspensions tends to squeak after wash. No major rattling sounds. Average road grip, would skid from the road if at high speed like more than 110kmph and if you try to escape from a pot hole. Tyre life is decent for the weight of the car. Very powerful, wouldnt feel the difference even if you are travelling alone or with another 7 people, better comfort if there are more people or with load in the boot. Steering is very sensitive, no scope for making mistakes. Lights are efficient. Once I raced with a Honda City VTec and Ikon 1.6 on Bangalore-Mysore 4 lane and it was not hard to beat them. Rougher the terrain the better the feel.  Dealership service is not that great due to rush.
