Since January, 16 Ford Fiest and Mahindra cars have been stolen, a few days after servicing. First it was Bhagat ford from Chandigarh, now it is Swami automobiles in Industrial Area Phase I, that has come under POLICE SCANNER.
10 Mahindra cars were stolenin a span of 10-15 days, after being serviced at Swami Automobiles. Naveen, a resident of sector 35 reported in Tribune newspaper(may 16, 2008): My 4 servants sleeping near my car, did not hear a thing, when car was stolen. Dhiresh Kumar says: My car had a steering lock, autocop and a diesel plug.
Sonu, another victim said: I had gone to Swami Automobiles to get the headlamps., but strangely the mechanic disables the autocop.

Infact Chandigarh is a city, where mechanics, house servants, house street chowkidars connive each other to form teams to steel. Also these commit other crimes as well.
