Mahindra has tried their level best to make this bike look mature and premium than other entry level bikes. In fact, they have tried so hard that this bike resembles a lot to its main competitor, Passion xPro. The face and side styling of this bike is not something we have not seen before. Its alloy wheels, front fender and rear view mirrors are similar to its younger sibling, Pantero which means it doesn’t look stylish and premium. It has a simple and full size front cowl and tinted visor. Its headlight with pilot lamps in not impressive either. We wish if it had more aggression in its style. The bike has black colored engine and muffler which is very simple and lacks the sporty appearance. The twin moulded golden pipes are placed just below its fuel tank which doesn’t gel with the overall styling of this bike and looks awkward. Its full size fuel tank and side panel features graphics on them which can’t hold your attention for sure. The bike has a regular grab rail at the back which makes it look proportionate and complements the rear styling which has a wide fender with clear lens indicators. The tail lamp is adjusted well in the rear cowl just above its fender.

Surprisingly, the bike features a new instrument console which is completely different than the one used in Pantero. It has a combined analogue digital instrument console with all essential LED indicators in it. The bike features a circular dial which partly displays its digital speedometer and rest of the dial houses an analogue Tachometer. There are other two LCDs also which comes with service reminder and distance to empty feature. The bike has digital odometer, 2-trip meter and fuel gauge. This instrument console comes with a unique white back lit which looks best at night. Apart from this, the bike has a cool key remote with a LED which helps you to look for ignition switch even in dark.

Unfortunately, the bike shares its engine with its younger sibling. It’s a mono cylinder, 4-stroke 106cc engine which produces a peak power of 8.5 bhp at 7500 rpm. This air-cooled engine generates a maximum torque output of 8.5 nm which is accessible at 5500 rpm. This bike also has a four speed gearbox with all gears up shift pattern.

There is no surprise in the performance and acceleration of this engine. The engine pulls up power early and works in a very relaxed manner. The 0-60 km/hr timing of 8.85 seconds is disappointing though. The taller gear ratios becomes a bit irritating in city traffic as sometimes you have to search for the power but things improve once you go pass the 3000 rpm mark. The bike can cross the speed of 100 km/hr and can beat other competitors while doing so. Engine refinement is not best in its segment but can’t be much criticized thanks to its strong high speed performance. There are no changes made to the regular gearbox of Pantero and everything feels the same.

The fuel efficiency of Centuro ranges from 62-65 km/ltr in city conditions while you can expect this bike to return a mileage of around 68-70 km/ltr on long runs.

I bought it around two years back. mileage was very low. I complained. They kept on tuning the carbourator instead of looking for real complaint. They will always try to avoid you. After regularly complaining they repaired it and now it has become useless. I am going to approach the consumer court.

But This bikes looks very nice when we see it from front and rear both sides, this is very stylish bike at this price range, mileage is also good around 65 to 75 kmpl. Acceleration is also very nice. Over all its a nice bike, go for it.
