I had a really bad experience. One of my colleagues had a chest pain and we rushed him to this hospital as it was nearby. After clutching his heart and waiting for one hour in the reception (literally not joking), we finally saw the doctor. Cool and casual chap - maybe just finished his degree was flirting around with the nurses and in general seemed to be in a humorous mood. Meanwhile my friends problem was getting worse. They took ECG and admitted him for further tests. Chest pain kept coming and going. I came to know later that this is classic textbook case of heart attack and whatever little doubts were there should have confirmed by ECG.
Yet my friend was not given the necessary medicines till late evening - A GOOD 6 HOURS AFTER HE WAS ADMITTED. He was given glucose, crocin and all that blah bah but the clot buster was administered only after 6 hours. Another doc friend of mine later told me that even if we had given him couple of aspirins the damage would not have been extensive.
We were told about the heartattack only in late evening after repeated queries. Meanwhile my friend kept complaining of chest pain and they kept saying it may be gas. Senior doctor was supposed to turn up at 4 o clock but he doesnt turn up till 8 because he is too busy and overburdened. An extremely rude cardiologist finally turns up angry after me and my colleagues requested him for urgent attention. He said that it is anythin but a heart attack and there is no need to hurry. After 10 mins of examination, this same doc comes out and tells that it is a big heart attack we have to immediately move him out to a cardiac speciality hospital.
We rushed our friend to Apollo and he survived but each of us will never forget the trauma faced at Agrasena. I have not taken doctors name here because the aim of this article is to inform people of my experience only and not personally attack anybody.
