Maatr. Review on Maatr

Hi, friends. I watched Maatr movie recently. I liked the plot of the movie. Things go horribly wrong when one night, Vidya Chauhan(Raveena Tandon) and her daughter Tia(Alisha Khan) are returning home from the later's school annual day function. To avoid the crazy traffic jam, Vidya goes off the route. But suddenly she gets abducted by a bunch of lousy guys. Soon the mother-daughter duo find themselves waking up on the floor of a deserted farmhouse only to be gangraped by their abductors. Tia succumbs to the abuse but Vidya survives the criminal act. She recognizes one of her wrongdoers as Apurva Malik(Madhur Mittal) who happens to be the son of a big-shot politician.

Her insensitive husband holds her responsible for the tragedy. So, now her sole support system is her close friend Ritu(Divya Jagdale). The law fails them and hence Vidya decides to avenge her loss and goes on a revenge-killing spree. Will justice be finally be delivered to a grieving mother?

The main character is Raveena Tandon in this movie. Raveena Tandon acts as Vidya Chauhan. The other star casts are Divya Jagdale as Ritu, Madhur Mittal as Apurva Malik, Shailender Goyal as Govardhan Malik, Anurag Arora as Inspector Jayant Shroff, Alisha Khan as Tia, Amisha Sinha and Rushad Rana as Ravi.

Apart from Raveena, the other star casts did not perform well. The role of a mother suited her perfectly. The music is good and the songs are very nice to hear. The cinematography is not good. Many criminal scenes are shown which are very disturbing and not so good to watch. Overall, it is an average movie.
