There was a time I liked the speed and connectivity of Triband, but since the last several months it has been testing my patience severely. I am looking for another service right now. I live in Andheri East. There is downtime each and every day, lasts for a variable amount of time - from 15-20 minutes several times a day to sometimes the entire afternoon or evening. The other day I was so frustrated with it that I took a video and posted it on youtube.

It took me almost 2 and a half minutes to open one website... on broadband!

I have spoken to 1504 innumerable times, the operators are totally incompetent (if you manage to get them, that is), and problems are never rectified in a timely manner. I have spoken to many of their DGMs and other so-called managers, all of whom are earning a salary for nothing. One can never get these management people at the first go, because they are either on leave or in a meeting. I wonder what they’re discussing... especially when they cannot provide any improvement for years.

The highhandedness of the "customer service" is remarkable! After I ranted about all my problems, all she says is "Theek hai na, abhi complaint note kiya hai" as though she is doing me a big favour! I shot back "Theek nahi hai! Yours is the worst internet service in Bombay, I hope you know that!"

I was determined to give them as much bad press as I could, because that is the least I can do. I am going to spread the word to as many people as possible too. This is plain cheating, to charge for broadband and provide a service worse than dial-up... with pathetic customer service and a more pathetic attitude towards customers.

MTNL Triband, YOU SUCK. Out of 5 rating points, I would give you minus 5 if I could.
