I have been using a broadband connection with connection number 253542** in Delhi


On multiple instances, they proved their stupidity being on heights where we can't beet them.


Here's what their procedure is for problem'Internet not working'




  • Call their customer service number and the first thing they ask you to do is to unplug phone cable from modem.  Even after saying I have already done it, they insist to do it again to check it's done properly. Hay. you know the phone call will get disconnected and I'll loose you. They shoot the learned response, sir if call gets disconnected please call us again.




  • The call gets disconnected as soon as you unplug the phone cable from modem. You call them again and explain the entire scenario again. Their 2nd learned response is that they will take a complain and a'Service Engineer' will visit personally to check the problem.




  • Wait for 4 to 5 days while you constantly followup with them. On 4th or 5th day(if you are lucky) a pole man or a line man dressed in Khakhi will visit your place and inquire about the problem. You describe the issue again. He will walk to the phone instrument and will pick up the reciever. His learnt response is'Dial tone to aa rahi hai, Line theek hai'. Hay. I never said phone is not working. My complain was that internet was not working. Then comes his 2nd learned response'Mai jaa kar bata dunga ki line theek hai, wo check kar lenge. That's their'Service Engineer's' visit.




  • You keep calling them for another 3 to 4 days and they will keep assuring you that they are checking switches in the background.




  • If you are lucky, on 10th to 12th day, your modem will automatically start showing the DSL light and you are back online.






That simple.


I have surrendered the connection recently as I don't have patience to deal with such a pathetic service.
