I travelled from Chennai to Birmingham (Uinted Kingdom) in June 2004 and returned back to India in Aug 2004. Lufthansa is good for some and bad choice for some other reasons. I can share you some I felt during my journey.

The good:

They keeps the time, may reach earlier also in the destination. I reached Frankfurt 30 minutes earlier than the expected time. The onward journey to Birmingham also reached on time. While coming back I reached Frankfurt 10 minutes late than the expected time and back in Chennai on the expected time.

The food served was satisfactory. On my onward journey the food was not so good. While returning I got nice food.
The serving was also impressive. The crew in the aircraft was much impressive too.


But the bad: They are very strict on the luggage. Our group faced problems on the luggage. We had to pay extra amount for the luggage. Meantime there are other airlines which are not so strict on luggage.

They are not so help ful in the check-in counters. In the Economy class the leg-space was less.
