Lufthansa is lagging other international airlines by 10-15 years in terms of services, in-flight entertainment, food, and everything else for that matter.  The only decent thing about Lufthansa is their short waiting with connecting flights when traveling from US to India.  I would never fly this airlines and certainly would not recommend it to anyone.

One sample experience:  I fell asleep as we were approaching SFO and missed the meal they served.  By the time I open my eyes all the attendents were in the pantry area.  All the passengers were either eating or about to finish their meals.  I pressed the service button trying to get the meal that I just missed.  No one responded for about FIVE MINUTES (I turned the light on and off few times so they could hear at least once - but there was no response at all).  Finally I caught their attention when they came to collect the empty trays.  When I asked for my meal the attendent told they have only pasta even though the other attending was trying to find out what I would like to eat.  When they served me the meal it was chicken - there was no roll or salad in the meal.  Bunch of lazy and incompetent people overall!!
