Hello,
according to me general knowledge by lucent has covered most of the aspects for ssc cgl and upsc question papers pattern. It has provided tbe whole information in summarized way which will save your time. But still I want not recommend that you depend on this single book for your gk preparation as general knowledge is an infinite subject.
I think for good preparation in GK I recommend you read newspaper of the hindu daily. Because the hindu news paper is mostly covered the general knowledge topics.
one other recommend magazine that you can follow is manorama yearbook.
if you want to achieve some knowledge then you should buy this book. after that you grasp more knowledge in GK section then you should try read the hindu news paper .
