Lost my sister in this hospital, for no compelling reasons. She went there for a Laporspoic surgery to correct her Ventral hernia.  It is supposed to be a very simple laproscopic surgery and it was assured by the Chief surgeon that she will be start running in two days after surgery!

In my opinion, their post operative care is so poor, they could have easily saved my sister's life if she had closely monitored well and reacted quickly on the symptoms. Even their pre-operative inital examinations are not upto the mark, they didn't take the necessay tests to look for any other abnormals associated.  They made so many tests until 11pm the day before the first surgery and the surgery was performed very next day 6am.

From next day of the surgery,  she started collecting some fluids in the abdomen, and the duty doctors were doing again some more tests daily, without any clue.  They put her into lot of stress and discomfort by inserting tube into stomach to remove the fluids, puncturing the abdomen in collecting the fludis. They are not taken this seriously and been waiting for the Suregon, even though the Tests were indicating some abnormality.  By the time they understand some seriousness it took another two days, and when she got those fluids oozing out of the laproscopic stitches, they decided to go for a open surgery(Lapratomy) and we all got into shock in hearing this.

After finishing the 2nd surgery, we found her kept in ventilation, Dr. came and claimed that there was a duoduneal ulcer that got perforated and leaking and causing the fluid collection.( But she never diagnosed before for any ulcers, also none of the tests were made by hospital if she have got any ulcers). He said that the ulcer perforation got stitched and had also assured that all has been done properly, she will be alright and she can start running in two days time. But the very same night, she become seriously ill, her lungs stopped funtioning properly.  She could not survive more and left all us and abandoned two small kids and her husband!:-(

Our sincere advice to our fellow citizens in this country:

a) Do not get carried away by advertisement / TV shows / big buildings / salesy words

b) Please do not rush and also do not blindly trust any doctor

c) Do your own due diligence, particularly when things are not an emergency. Get 2nd Opinion and 3rd opinion always.

d) Try and understand the medical terms, do research prior

e) Please ask questions, at every stage.

f) Don't say "I can spend anything"

g) Know patient rights

h) If possible, get hold of a family/friend doctor and have them ask all questions beforehand and also during any surgery.
