No, Let Us Java by Yashwant Kanetkar isn't a great book. This book is from exam point of view, just to clear examinations.
BUT IF U WANT TO BECAME A GOOD PROGRAMMER then dont depend on this book
This Book explain the core java thoroughly. This book contain a lot of simple example, but not even one advance program is there.
.i am a computer science engineer I prefer to Oxford book on java, bcz there are no. of good examples!
