I purchased a 2-yr extended warranty from Lenovo authorised dealer (Intarvo Technologies Ltd. Sector 47, Chandigarh) thinking that I would not have to run around like a headless chicken trying to get my laptop repaired. But sadly, thanks to the 'professional' attitude of the Lenovo employees I have been doing precisely that since the last 1.5 months.
1) My laptop's hard disk crashed (which I thought should not happen in at least a Lenovo).
2) When I gave the laptop for repairing I had to wait for 7 days from Lenovo Customer Care just to get an affirmation on my warranty validity.
3) I come to know that my warranty papers are not valid due to glitch caused by Intarvo Technologies and hence I have to get back to them for new set of papers (which is not possible by farthest iota of imagination since I am currently based in Mumbai).
4) When I still contact Intarvo Technologies, Chandigarh over phone, Mr. Mohammad Danish, very conveniently chose to disregard my mails and calls for a period of 10 days without any positive response.
5) Very sadly, upon sending someone in place of me to the office, Mr.Danish plainly disagrees upon receiving any such email from me, and also cooks up another story to the person concerned.
Thus, harassed, humiliated and feeling utterly cheated by lack of the slightest bit of professionalism depicted by Lenovo, I give in, and have given my laptop for repairing which would cost me around 10-15 thousand now.
Thanks, to Lenovo, in proving my expectations wrong that any authorized service center should be the organizations headache and they should be the ones who should contact these dealers internally and get the required information.
In the end, I would like to say that Lenovo should provide a sample for a good warranty receipt so that customers should not leave it on the trust and faith they have with the company and be harassed eventually.
I have lost 2 months of my precious MBA time, just chasing around people, which in the end proved as futile as trying to push a wall.
