I was planning to purchase a Laptop and I have some criteria to purchase the Laptop. I have also visited Lenovo official website.


I have called Lenovo customer care (180030009991, 180030009991, 180030005366) many times to understand product. Nearly on all occasion, I asked them, what Operating System Edition Lenovo Yoga 500


(80N40046IN). My question was very precise and clear. CSR have kept my phone on hold and taken their time and given confident reply - Windows Professional 8.1 on all occasion (and not


Windows Home 8.1). I verified it again since many Microsoft software are installable on Windows professional edition only. I don't want to spend money again for professional edition. Please refer the attachment to confirm the number of phone calls, I have made.


Also please note that I asked this question in front of croma retailer. I also asked about number of RAM slot available. I got reply as 2 slot and laptop can be upgraded to 16 GB. Please cross verify the information with CSR number and timing, I have provided in images. Also note that CSR has taken my mobile number, city, email and name. Based on the information given by CSR, I found that Lenovo Yoga 500 (80N40046IN) was most suitable laptop for my requirement and budget. I purchased the Laptop and found that Laptop has Windows Home (Single


Language) operating system. I again called the customer care and spoken to Mr. Harsha YM. I am very sorry to say that Mr. Harsha YM has not shown any professional behaviour and made some illogical and unprofessional statement.


I don't to mention here. He was trying to blame me for purchasing Lenovo Laptop. I requested him to transfer the call to his supervisor and clearly declined many times infront of Croma Shruthisharma person. So he was highly non-cooperative.


Now when I tried to find out cost of upgrade of edition from Home to Professional edition, it was 7499 Rs. This goes beyond my budget and unacceptable.


1) Now I request LENOVO to respect the promise given by LENOVO CSR that they will give me professional edition of Windows 8.1. Please arrange installation of Windows 8.1 professional for my Laptop.


2) Otherwise, please arrange the refund of 7499 Rs, so that I can buy Windows Professional 8.1.


3) Also ensure that the CSR will not provide wrong and non-factual information. They will rather say - "I don't know". This is better answer rather than misguiding customer.


4) In case of unfavourable reply to above 3 points, Kindly share the email / mobile number of next escalation level.


Lenovo has also given 9 months warranty instead of 12 months. Given only 1 RAM slot and promised 2 RAM slot. Customer care people have bluffed me many times. Special service team told me that they will give me windows 8.1 professional in next 2-3 days, but took U turm later.
