Cockroaches,red ants,and crawling insects have been a major nagging problem for people living in ground floor houses,apartments etc.,
Come rainy season my house used to get swarmed with ants coming out in colonies and colonies at a time atleast say a thousand of them....(could sound unbelievable ) but had happened last year,when the whole drawing room looked like having been carpeted with a black carpet,And big cockroaches coming out of the drains and virtually taking the house on seige.
I used to pour kerosene and insect powder but would find it really a back breaking effort....Then I found this laxman rekha....which is quite convenient and very effective on not only cockroaches, but red ants and crawling insects.
Just 3 parallel lines near the doorsteps and near the drain helped me control this menace.Come rainy season I do this on a ritualistic basis and have got excellent results ( but only the saddest part is it kills the insects and the ants....but cant help it with kids in the house have to take care of self and family)
It is quite poisonous generally draw the lines after the kids go off to sleep and wipe them off before they wake up
For the beds draw lines on the sides of the cot and put the beddings on top, this ensures that there are no red ants on the cots and in the beddings
Can also be given in powder form by the manufacturers so that it can be used where the chalk cannot be used /lines cannot be put
