My wife was pregnant in the middle of the year 2012. I was residing at Miyapur and was looking for a hospital nearby with which my wife can continue regular checkups till her delivery. I found this Lalitha Gayathri(LG) hospital in good location(Mythri nagar, Madinaguda, near Miyapur, Hyderabad) so, I visited and enquired about the gynecologist(Dr. Aparna) who is actually the MD for this LG hospital. The duty doctors, nurses and everyone seems to be positive about this doctor and recommended me to take my wife to her. I believed everyone and took my wife for first time to the LG hospital.
The doctor was very cooperative in the initially days with which we were satisfied and continued our regular checkups with the same doctor. As the months passed, I found some changes in the LG hospital like duty and specialist doctors were frequently getting changed due to some management issues. All of a sudden, Dr. Aparna went on leave for a month without informing her regular patients. We were forced to get checkup with a duty doctor who was little experienced in the same field. The less experienced doctor prescribed my wife with different capsules for boosting blood(heavy dose).
Yes, with those capsules, the blood all of sudden in two weeks’ time boosted like anything also, my wife started swelling all over the body. When Dr. Aparna came back, she said "it was nothing to worry and stop those capsules, everything will be alright." But, exactly on the 5th day from the visit to Dr. Aparna, my wife was fully swollen from face to toe. She felt hard to see with her eyes, I was bit tensed, and rushed to the same LG hospital since my wife was getting treatment since day 1 of her pregnant in that hospital only. Again, Dr. Aparna went out of station and duty doctors were ready to see my wife. I was annoyed with the earlier treatment provided by those duty doctors so, shouted at receptionist to call Dr. Aparna, they called her and I was able to contact her over phone. In the phone, Dr. Aparna was saying that "I left the LG hospital as there was some management issues so please go out and find some better hospital for your wife." That time, I have only one hope that is my god.
I called ambulance, took my wife(she was in 8th month) and rushed to Fernandez hospital where they gave emergency treatment to my wife and helped to save my wife and luckily happened to be normal delivery. I was blessed with baby boy though preterm. I forgot to mention, what happened when I initially rushed to Lalitha gayathri hospital on the 5th day from the visit to Dr. Aparna, those duty doctors in LG hospital provided 2 hours of first aid treatment and for which they billed 20, 000 rupees. They have not used any medical devices, and applied common drugs to keep my wife's health condition stable. They are actually asking permission from me whether they need to start the treatment or not. They told me that my wife is in danger so baby has to be delivered through Cesarean.
I cannot believe these doctors, so decided to take my wife to another hospital and told them to bill for the services they gave to my wife for those two hours. When I got a chance to look into the bill details, I was surprised to see all sort of test within two hours that include HIV test as well. I cannot quarrel with them as my wife needs immediate treatment so quietly paid the amount and took her out from that LG hospital. I was surprised to see this new hospital calling themselves as multi-specialty hospital has nothing inside and put unnecessary bills to the patients. I strongly recommend all patients to not go to this hospital for any health issue as they are not credible and shameful behavior.
Even if you are medically insured, please prefer a hospital which has history. I took some time to write this review only to help you and ensure you are alert when someone refers this hospital.
