Nagesh Kukunoor is most underrated director in Bollywood, his only film got appreciation was Iqbaal, but he has made some remarkable film like this one Lakshmi.
Story on 14 year old girl kidnapped and forced into flesh trade, its her journey and fight against the people responsible for misery.
It's a debut film for singer Monali Thakur and she handled this tough role pretty well.
Some good performances by Satish Kaushik, Sefali Chhaya, Nagesh Kukunoor and Ram Kapoor.
Story is taken from original incidences and screenplay was very well written with good direction.
Its a dark film and you need to tough to understand it.
Over all a must watch film to understand the pain and suffering of girls who goes through terrible experience of flesh trade.
