I booked a make up trial for myself at Lakme - Borivali west branch, last week as a part of my bridal makeup hunt.. I ws told that 550/- for Kryolan and 800 for MAC make up trial. I thought these rates were decent enuf for a trial. I asked who would be doing my make up, to which the girl working there replied anybody of us does it.
I was a little surprised to this as they charge a bomb for the make up package (15 -20k) and appoint the girls who carry out facials and manicures as Sr. Technicians for bridal makeup!!!!!!!!! I gathered courage and still went ahead for the trial. The girl started cleaning my face but to my surprise only half the face she covered. Upon askin her, she said we gave trial for only half the face!!! That was like a blow on my face! I felt so cheated. I enquired so much about the package and the trial and not once did they tell me that trial would be only for half your face. Now tell me how can one judge how good the makeup looks and what suits us or not from only half the face and that too when you are trying out something for such a big occassion like your own wedding!! Plus the girl who put the makeup made me look so horrible with her eye makeup and the blush she put I felt like she was painting a wall !!
All in all, I am very upset and feel cheated, would not recommend LAKME parlor, its a waste of money. The staff is unfriendly and makes faces and act as if they are providing you free service. Plus the staff there also isnt very skillful, they are quite suitable for local type low budget parlors. The staff just doesnt suit LAKME standards as it shud be!!
PS: I have been to this parlor before quite a few times for facials and manicures etc., this review is not just based on one bad experience.
