Lakme is a trusted name when it comes to beauty products that is why I chose its Churchgate outlet in Mumbai to go for a hair spa session. The lakme outlet is huge with different sections for hair, skin care, facial, mani-pedi and massage sessions and it has way too many stylists roaming around. It always feels crowded even when it has less customers because of the many beauty specialists running around. They are well mannered and polite but the real problem starts when one sits in the chair for the service.
I have oily hair with little problem of dandruff and so I wanted a basic hair spa to make hair oil free plus dandruff free and a new stylish cut for my hair. The salon has a menu with a vast variety of services to choose from where hair spa is starting from 700 rupees going upto 4000 and more. The problem is that the stylists here push the customers towards high pricing services and are least interested in hearing what the customer has to say! Instantly my stylist wanted me to take a hair spa session worth 2200! I told him I do not need any special treatment, even a basic one will do but he started analyzing my hair. After that he says that I should get my hair straightened which will cost just about 7000! I told him again that I do not want any chemical treatment on my hair to which he replied that my hair is in such bad shape that he will have to do it! My hair is not the best but it is not in bad shape, I oil it regularly, so I told him to forget it and went to get mani-pedi. There also they are asking me to go for special mani pedi worth 2000 instead of giving basic service. I got basic service and just came out.
I will recommend this place only to those people who have a lot of money since all these people are interested in is just convincing the customer to get the most expensive services on their menu!
