I just want to share some thoughts about one of the best two-wheelers rode in India. I had seen one for the first time in a newspaper ad, when I was in my Final year graduation, in Jan 2003, when it was launched [the DX version, to be noted]. It caught my eyes on the spot. After few days, I could see this bike in competition with Victor on the roads.

The striking factor was the styling of the bike and the seat well placed in two-toned colors. The front fairing style was just like a Concorde Jet [as mentioned by bikeguru Dilip Bam in indiabike.com]. The practical feature which can be called the best is the engine, silent and smooth, and you can hardly hear the sound in ignition, or, especially while standing at a signal. The gears are so smooth to operate, and convenient that you never feel that it is just a 110 CC bike, and if you know, you might feel it had to be a 150 CC, just like the Unicorn.

Getting technical:

Engine : 109.6 cc [as specified in the ad]

Power : 8.1 bhp

Torque : 8 NM

Top speedĀ  :95 Kmph

Mileage expected : 87 Kmpl [claimed]

I also stillĀ hear from my LML Freedom'ers that it still gives >55 per litre in city, and around 77 per litre on an uninhibited long stretch of drive.

I liked the Pearly gold colored bike of the lot.

I just can not imagine that the company and all the products died off [or in a Coma stage].

I hope this one 'GEM OF A BIKE' comes to life again, and also wish those who own one [am not talking of the Prima variants], retain it with care.
