One of its kind, this insurance scheme is available with LIC only where in husband & wife both are insured under a single policy.
However the policy is available only for working couples i.e., where both husband & wife are working. The premium of a single policy ( for both) comes out to be much cheaper than if taken individual policies.
And what else, it is from a trusted name in insurance LIC . I think you should bank on LIC only ( However opinions always differ) because it is backed by govt. , very old & very big ( in working capital) .
Trust me it has changed a lot. I tried with other private players but couldn't find any joint life plan policy with any of these. I was a little hesitant in investing with any of these private companies since the insurance plans are long term plans.
But they all claim that these companies can't dupe the investors since IRDA ( regulatory authority) is very strict. At the end its each ones decision, after all it's your money.
