In 2003 I have taken LIC jeevan anand plan-149 for the sum assured Rs 8, 00, 000. At that time my age was 25 years. The term is 25 years and the premium is Rs 2762 per month.
I had been told that on maturity of the policy I will get around Rs 20, 00, 000/- and after that on my death my wife will get Rs 8, 00, 000/-. so there is two benifits maturity benefit and life cover even after the maturity of the policy.
For the first year I paid one year premium. after that I converted into salary deduction.
The agent is not in my contact since many years. after making the policy he is not giving any services. I complained in public grievance portal about the agent. higher officer from lic responded to my complaint but till today my agent has not been spoken with me.
Lic policies are good. but be careful about agents because their need is essential at the time of maturity or at any unexpected happenings.
