Prior to this mobile, I used Nokia CDMA handset. But listening to the sound quality of the MP3s, I just hopped to the market and paid Rs. 8,000 odd for this awesome gadget.

The Mp3 quality is
too good, the sound reception is excellent, The picture and video quality is also decent. It has a very userfriendly interface with very few functions available. You can keep multimedia wallpapers, assign photographs clicked for caller identification, keep the phone on air-plane mode during that time, the phone wont attempt to catch the network and it wont disturb the navigation while you’re flying and makes you unstopable when it comes to listening to music. There are 3 games, 2 of them are decent.

some of the additional features are:

1. Torch
2. Airplane mode (as explained above)
3. Message Archive Lock (Others cant read your personal messages)
4. Change Color scheme
5. Rhythmic Lighting
6. Unit Converter
7. D-day calculator
8. Reserved Call reminder
9. SMS, LMS, MMS, E-mail
10. World Clock
11. Phone Book of 2000 numbers memory

One of the major problems with the phone is the battery life - Nokia users wont like it.. because the battery life is only 1 day (average usage).. if you are a heavy user of multimedia & calling, it will further go down.

The video shooting is only 15 seconds each and the Mp3 songs can be stored for maximum 30 seconds each in the internal memory which means if you want to utilise the functions fully, you need to buy a memory card, which is an additional cost of around - Rs. 1,000 to 1,700 depending upon the memory (256 MB or 512 MB respectively). After you put in the memory card, there is no restriction to the memory per song or per video clip. But to transfer your files, you need a datacable or a card reader, which comes for atleast Rs. 250-300.

The video shooting is possible and you can view those videos in your mobile phone or the PCsync software available on the reliance website, but you cannot access your other regular video formats (.mpg, .mpeg, .avi, .dat etc) in this mobile as it recognises only .mpj format, for which the converters are also not available on the internet.

R-world is also functional in this mobile but you have to download the r-world’s useful applications on your mobile phone that makes the access little faster to those few applications of your interest.

One of the keys of my mobile phone have become hard to press in just a usage of 2 months. The out-going voice is a matter of complaint as well these days.
