This model has some kinks and some excellent features, also. First the excellent features: 1) a scheduler 2) a calendar 3) good design with easy and big keys for SMS 4) clever SMS creation page, which does away with having to go to separate menus to change from T9Abc to Abc; with this phone, all you need to do is press # to switch between typing formats, making it much faster and easier to type SMS messages.
Kinks/Problems: 1) extremely low battery life. After six months, my phone only gave me 2 hours of talk time; after 11 months, I now get only 45 minutes of talk time. The battery has a warranty of only 6 months. Replacement battery is Rs. 706. 2) sometimes the phone froze and would have to be restarted. 3) the units conversion features has meters and centimeters, but NOT kilometers. it was annoying to convert miles to meters, rather than kilometers. also, there was no option for converting from fahrenheit to centrigrade.
This phone would be perfect if it fixed the battery problem and perhaps lowered the price by 10%. I paid Rs. 3250, which was not bad, but definitely not worth it in the long-run. A Nokia has much higher resale value and better quality battery.
