Should people really go by what our critics have to say is the question of the day.

Every possible review that I read of this film had nothing good to say about it.

Still for various reasons I ended up watching the film. And am I glad I did.

Kyun! is the story of two very believable and real characters. One who wants to fall in love and get married for love - like most girls do. And the other who doesn't believe that love can be any better than an arranged marriage.

The twain meet and love happens. Only for the girl, however. The guy is too convoluted by his thoughts to realize that his feelings are love too.

The first half has its fair share of jokes and light moments - especially the ones between Vivek and Om Puri (who plays his father).

The second half too continues in the same spirit. The differnce being the entry of none other than Big B himself to lighten up the atmosphere with a bunch of kids.

One gag after the other lead to the final prank which is played in order for our hero to realize that he is actually in love with lady Rai.

Critics penned that there is no chemistry between the lead pair? What do you expect if the lead pair is seeing each other in real life? Sparks to fly off the screen?? Not possible. I think there is enough chemistry as per the requirements of the story.

Bachchan isn't in tune with the kids in the film was another remark made by a critic. I think I would want to go and watch the second half of the film just for Mr Bachchan.

There is no flaw as such that comes to mind to tag this film as unwatchable or otherwise.

Kyun! Dekh liya naa is what I am going to be asking you next!!
