I went to Bangalore, Commercial street Koutons. Till I purchased some shirts they treated me well. They told me that I can exchange the shirts if it does not fit to the person for whom I wanted to gift the shirt for Diwali. The very next day I went for exchange. The person managing the shop was replying in a harsh way. He said exchanges are accepted only on Saturdays and Sundays and that too before 6pm. I was on the way to my native place. I wanted to exchange it immediately. If not then I cannot do it forever.
Also the time limit for exchange is 7days. He was asking me to go to my native place and exchange. Why should I go to another branch instead of the branch where I purchased? The person could have been more diplomatic and could have also found a way to satisfy the customer. But he did not do that.
I was travelling to Coimbatore. He was asking me to go to chennai or kerala for exchange. Wow. What a sensible reply. I told him several times that the shirts I purchased are for Diwali celebrations and so I have to exchange it. His reply for to come after diwali. Again another sensible reply. Through out the conversation the person was very rude. I still remember him saying "We run Koutons on our policy and not on the customer's wish".
Let them run shops for themselves and not for customers.
