One of the most horrible mistakes of my life, opening a 3in1 account with Kotak securities 2 years back. here are my experiences

1) It took 3 months for the account to open, I was given all kind of reasons possible on earth for the delay.
2) I lost lot of money on the recommendations which Kotak Securities provides, dont trust any recommendation given by Kotak.. Rule of thumb is – If Kotak recommends a buy , then immediately sell off that stock and invest somewhere else.
3) I had to change my address - I have provided them with all kind of proofs, they say it has been updated but actually its not updated ( have been following it up for past 6 months). Again all kind of reasons have been provided for the delay.
4) Never go for registering for phone trading, those numbers are always busy, if you get through those numbers, I would say you should have a gala celebration in evening.
5) One of the most horrible customer services i have ever seen in my life.

So my recommendation is not to go with them if you want peace of mind.
