Oldest and trustworthy company: I opened a trading account in Kotak securities last year and I was very pleased with my decision.
Kotak not only offers branch services it also has online trading. Apart from that it has portfolio management, mutual funds and currency derivates.
The online trading website is always updated and displays charts and real time quotes at all times. Having said that, the disappointing part is that they charge brokerage on everything. This is contradictory to what I was told that their brokerage is just 30p.
It gets very irritating since traders buy and sell the entire day. My colleague also told me that he was charged a huge amount when he closed his trading account. Please reconfirm all terms and conditions before you open an account.
