I had a ULIP policy with Kotak Mahindra insurance. That was my most heavily paid insurance. However this policy ran for years and did not give any profit. When I enquired Kotak Mahindra insurance and requested to look into the matter, they simply told I can switch the funds.
They had no suggestion how to take care of customer's investments. When I went through the reviews of Kotak, I found that it was a wrong decision to put a heavy investment in Kotak.
I had to close my insurance as I had already paid more amount than the insurance guaranteed.
Due to such a bad experience with Kotak securities I have never opened a bank account with Kotak bank despite their 6% interest.
I would suggest you guys not to invest in any insurance company just because someone said, but go through reviews. And I would suggest to avoid Kotak.
