Story:

This is my first full fledged video review on MS. All these days I could not upload this video on MS, due to access issues, but today was able to do so. I have spent 6 months already in this beautiful country, and from the looks of it, a very long stay is imminent. And truth be told I am quite in love with the place.  The background music is from the movie Superman.

So what makes me love Korea so much? Well here are some reasons.

This was a nation totally devastated during the 1950 Korean War. Its cities were bombed, and millions of people were killed. Yet it managed to rise like a Phoenix from the rubble. And the reason, being the discipline, dedication and hard working nature of the people. Yes American aid and the presence of the US Army also helped S.Korea, but then you have a country like Phillipineswhich inspite of receiving so much American aid, still continues to be in a sorry state to date. I also love the way Koreans take pride in their nation and heritage.

I love the change of the seasons here. The cherry blossoms in Spring, the colors of the fall, the snow in winter creates a wonderful kaleidoscope.  As also the lush green paddy fields and the rolling hills.

Koreans are in general pretty helpful and friendly. Yes you might run into Koreans who are racist and xenophobic, but such kind of people will be found in every place in the world. And while they work hard, they play hard too. Koreans are quite a sporty kind, and soccer, badminton, hockey are popular here. Of course Korea has hosted the 1988 Summer Olympics(Seoul), the Asian Games in 1986( Seoul) and 2002(Busan) and the 2002 World Cup soccer. And yes most of the Koreans are crazy about video games. Walk into any internet center, and you are sure to be treated to sounds of all kinds of video games.

Seoul also has one of the best public transport, and so does most of Korea. Apart from the subway, the expressways are awesome, and the infrastructure is top notch. And for a traveller you are spoilt for choice. From the mountains near Seoul, to the beaches of Busan, and the temples in Gyeongju, Korea offers everything for every one. History buffs can explore the numerous palaces and temples.  For the cultural and spiritual minded people, there are a lot of events and concerts taking place. And for the young and restless, you have beaches, mountains, ski resorts where they can live life on the fast edge.

Anyway as this is is a video review, I do not want to keep going on and on. Hoping most of you enjoy it.
