The College is completely unaided. The College is the part of ''THE KONKAN GYANPEETH TRUST'' founded in the year 1989 by Shri. P. N. Dharkar. Currently, 1,300 students are enrolled in 6 disciplines, viz.

Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering
Instrumentation Engineering
Mechanical Engineering
Production Engineering
Over the past 4 years i.e. 1989-1999,1999-2000, 2000-2001 and 2002-2003, the college has maintained an average passing percentage over 80%. In the year 2002-2003, Abhijeet Choudhari ranked 3rd in the University Merit List of Mechanical branch, Anjalee Deshmukh ranked 7th in the University Merit List of Instrumentation branch, Satyam Pandya ranked 26th in the University Merit List of Production branch, Sheeba Stalin ranked 24th in the University Merit List of Electronics and Telecommunication branch, Prashant Dhabalia ranked 37th in the University Merit List of Electronics and Telecommunication branch and Rishi Saraf ranked 55th in University Merit List of Computer branch.
