My recommendation is to visit Kodaikannal during the month of November to February, because that is half season, room rates are at low price. You can get discount up to 40% in tour websites like Cleartrip.
Clouds would fly touching your heads in the place where we booked our room, the hotel name is Green Land, it is near Pothigai TV(DD) station. The place was surrounded by mountain ranges, clouds on them, chill breeze. The place is very next to Cockers Walk
Some tips to the travelers
# The first need is food. Not all hotels we do not get good food, but near Kodaikannal bus stand the hotel name is Astoria gives high class vegetarian food but costly.
# Better to plan to visit Kodaikanal in the month of November because tourists are few and you can enjoy every places without any hurry.
# We found a beautiful village of Boombaarai. There were nothing special only Lord Muruga temple but on the way to the temple taught us what is real beauty. There we bought mountain garlic. That was really tasty but you need to bargain.
# Go in your own vehicle, through GPS tour spot can be detected easily. The taxi rates are high
# Should take warm clothes for children and elder people
# In the hotel they are allowing for campfire much better to enjoy in night
# If you are planning to visit Perijam, should go in the morning 7 o clock. There in the check post, the forest officers allows only first 25 vehicles. It is a place of wild animals. Humans should not violate the forest.
# Total surface of Kodaikanal is 40 km. Two day trip is enough to enjoy all the tourist spots
# Select the room where you can enjoy the nature
# Tour spot begins with the church road, Most of the tourist spots begins from that way
# Bread omlet is one of the tasty food served in Kodaikanal in all hotels
